Is Lift suitable for those dealing with diastasis recti?

By: Dr. Brianne Grogan, PT, DPT

Yes! Lift is a great program for those dealing with diastasis recti (ab separation). It focuses on strengthening the entire core "team," which includes the pelvic floor, the deep abdominals, the back muscles, and the breathing diaphragm. All of these core muscles need to be working together to prevent (or treat) prolapse, and they also need to be working together to resolve diastasis recti. In addition to the core exercises, Lift is also a great program for diastasis recti because it helps you learn how to manage intra-abdominal pressure. These lifestyle tips are essential for prolapse management, and also for diastasis recti healing.
