I have levator ani syndrome, will the Overcome program help?

By: Dr. Brianne Grogan, PT, DPT

Levator ani syndrome is a dysfunction of pelvic floor muscles, which can result in muscle tension, rectal pain, pain with sitting, aggravation after a bowel movement, and pain with sexual activity.
Levator ani syndrome is another term used for pelvic floor dysfunction or CPPS. The Overcome Pelvic Pain program is designed for people experiencing these issues. The Overcome program is a holistic, multi-faceted approach that includes movement routines (to relax, release, and eventually rebuild the musculature), sound nutrition (to reduce inflammation and a create an environment conducive to healing), and neurological reprogramming (mind-body practices to retrain and rebalance your nervous system back to harmonious function).
The Overcome Pelvic Pain program is designed to help those who are experiencing Levator Ani syndrome.
